This acquisition is a 100% set aside for small businesses under SIC code 3826 and has a small business size standard of 500. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement consitiutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. The requirement is for: 1 EA; IPS5009 Real Time Particle Size Analyzer (standard EPCS-Eductor with NEMA 7 encxlosure) Includes: Optical package optimized for materials ranging from .05 to 200 microns; standard 316 stainless steel interface; RTSizer v5.0 for Windows NT; Pentium Computer (233 MHz minimum, Hewlett Packard), with interface electronics and software pre-installed; IPS2008 High COncentration module; IPS2006m Installation and training; Customized process flow homogenization hardware; Communication cabling (from PC to instrument); Pre-installation, installation and post-installation engineering visits; and On-site system maintenance and software training.
