LEWIS, WA SOL DAKF57-99-R-0106 DUE 091799 POC Cheryl O'Neal at (253) 967-2151 x 217 An A-76 cost comparison study is being conducted for specified services currently performed by Government personnel at the Directorate of Information Management (DOIM), Fort Lewis, WA. The study is in accordance with OMB Circular A-76, Performance of Commercial Activities, to determine the most cost-effective mode of operation, i.e., continued performance by Government employees or by a contract performed by a commercial entity. A contract will not be awarded if Government performance is determined to be more advantageous. Contractor shall plan, program, administer, manage, and execute the work necessary to provide the following services: mailroom and redirect; official mail and unit mail program; publications and forms; publication stockroom; records management; records holding; Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act (PA); video teleconference; and janitorial. The Contracting Office anticipates issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) on 17 Aug 99 preceded by a draft solicitation issued on 1 July 99. Any resultant contract will have a performance period, which includes a 30-day phase-in, of a base year and four option periods.
