This acquisition is to furnish all supervision, labor, facilities, equipment, tools, materials, parts and transportation as necessary to provide for installation, rental and perpetual maintenance cells, and cassettes at Maxwell AFB and Maxwell AFB-Gunter Annex, AL. It is the intent of this agency to negotiate a sole source contract under statutory authority of 10 U.S.C., 2304 (C ) (1) set forth in FAR 6.302-1, (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements). This agency intends to negotiate with Automated Prescription System, Inc., of P.O. Box 4118, Pineville, LA 71360-4188. This acquisition includes: master controls, drug cassettes, hospital readout cells, hospital readout supercells, computer links and master counter. The period of services is 1 Oct 99 through 30 Sep 2000 with four (4) one-year option periods. All interested parties are encouraged to provide information on their capabilities to meet this requirement. In order to be considered a potential source, interested parties must submit clear and convincing documentation demonstrating the capability to satisfy the requirements specified above and advantages of the Government to consider another source. The documentation shall include prices, GSA contract number technical documentation to establish a bona fide capability to meet this requirement. Only written responses will be considered. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the contracting officer may determine that a solicitation will be issued. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis will be published. Firms that respond to this synopsis of intent or otherwise request a copy of the solicitation. Request for copies of solicitation must reference the entire solicitation number including purchasing office identification number. Verbal communications will not be considered. If no affirmative written response is received within fifteen (15) calendar days after publication of this synopsis that a comparable source is available.
