The purpose and intent of this contract is to secure services for replacing three bridges and one large culvert on Prince Of Wales Island. Work includes removing a Hamilton brand bridge on road 2030 at milepost 0.31 and fabrication and installing a new 72 feet long by 16 feet wide glulam bridge;removing an Acrow brand bridge on road 2030 at milepost 0.81 and installing a new 85 feet long by 16 feet wide glulam bridge;and removing a Hamilton brand bridge on road 3060 at milepost 0.54 and installing the Acrow bridge from road 2030 at milepost 0.81. The 2030 road system is located near Control Lake. Road 3060 is located within the city limits of Whale Pass on a Forest Service right of way. Commercial access to Prince of Whales Island from Ketchikan, Alaska, is by Alaska Marine Highway to Hollis or by small airplane This project is full and open competition.
