Mortar Increment Container Combustible Case Assemblies -- The U.S. Army TACOM-ARDEC intends to contract for the redesign of 120MM Mortar Increment Containers. This is a follow-on procurement with final delivery consisting of 2,000 each 120MM Mortar Increment Containers manufactured from two design iterations. The manufacturing process for these containers involves processing of energetic materials (class 4.1C flammable solid) on steam heated molding dies. Molding preforms are made from an aqueous slurry of fibers and resins using a technique known as the "Beater Additive Process".
