39 -- IN-FLOOR CONVYOR CONTROL SYSTEM SOL SP3100-99-R-0027 DUE 081399 POC Joni Stephens, Contract Specialist, Phone: 717-770-5912, FAX: 717-770-5689 The specification covers the necessary services, labor, material and equipment and control components required to install and make operable an updated control system for the existing In-Floor Conveyor System at Defense Distribution Depot Hill, Utah (DDHU), loacted at Hill Air Force Base. The modernization and refurbishment of the In-Floor Conveyor Control System shall consist of a Radio Frequency Identification Guidance System. This system will consist of RF Tags one for each of the 310 carts, a RF Reader for each determination point (21 spurs and 12 interchanges), and each spur will have a hard wired-Hand Held Bar Code Scanner to provide routing instructions, and a Liquid Crystal Diode (LCD) display. The existing Electrical Control System shall be upgraded to an Allen-Bradley Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) system that is Ethernet capable. A Graphical User Interface will be provided and installed at each PLC cabinet and in the Electronic Maintenance Shop to provide diagnostics, operation and maintenance support for the system. The In-Floor Conveyor Control System shall include applicable sensors and actuators required to provide overall inegrated routing/tracking of carts throughout the system.
