66 -- DRUG PROFILE SYSTEM SOL Requisition #AT10199 POC William Bancroft, Contract Specialist, (770) 488-2611 The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to purchase on a sole source basis a model 195-7103 REMEDI HS Drug Profiling System, 195-7149 Reagent Kit, 195-7111 Application Buffer, 195-7114 Mobile Phase, 195-7536 Serum Accessory Pack, 195-7514 Centrifuge with Rotor, and 195-7188 Optical Disk Cartridge. This system is being purchased in conjunction with the Bioterrorism program currently under way at this agency. The focus of the system is to monitor exposure to toxic agents and to develop methods for monitoring either the agents or their metabolites in blood or urine samples. The system is an integrated data system with on-board capabilities to extract, concentrate and automatically analyze urine samples for a large number of drugs. CDC intends to purchase this system from Bio-Rad Laboratories, 4200 Alfred Nobel Drive, Hercules, CA 94547. Vendors who can offer equivalent products and at comparable price may identify their interests in providing said equipment, submitting pricing data, an accurate description of the equipment offered, and make and model numbers of the equipment. Since no solicitation package exists, requests for such documents without accompanying information to establish the vendor's capability of meeting the Government's needs will be considered non-responsive to this synopsis. Only responses containing this data will be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Award will not be made on the basis of responses to this synopsis. If no feasible responses are received by the close of business 15 days from the date this notice appears in the CBD, a procurement will be named with the above-named source.
