68 -- SEALED AIR CORPORATION PRODUCTS USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH INSTAPAK 808 AND 901 PACKAGING SYSTEMS SOL SP3100-99-R-0024 DUE 073099 POC Diane M. Peifer, Contract Specialist, 717-770-4613 E-MAIL: click here to contact the Contract Specialist via, dpeifer@ddc.dla.mil. The Defense Distribution Depot San Diego (DDDC), Dan Diego, CA has a requirement for the establishment of an indefinite delivery requirements contract for products used in conjunction with the depot's existing Government-owned "Foam-in-Place" dispensing systems manufactured by Sealed Air Corporation. The three (3) products that will be required by the Government under the contract are: Sealed Air Corporation Instaflex-IW, Component A, red, polymethylene polyphenylisocyanate (55 gallon drum); Sealed Air Corporation Instaflex-IW, Component B, blue, polyurethane resin (55 gallon drum); and Sealed Air Corporation Instamate Packaging Film, polyoefins, 72 inch (36 inch centerfold) x 2200. 0.7 (roll), part number P8072. These particular products are essential to the Government's requirements thereby precluding consideration of products manufactured by another company. If chemicals, other than the Sealed Air Corporation designated products, are used in the Instapak Foam-in-Place packaging systems, the maintenance agreements for the systems would be void. The Government has tested other packaging films; however, none of the tested products have been able to withstand the temperature generated by the Instapak packaging system. The authority to contract without providing for full and open competition is supported by the required justifications and approvals cited in FAR 6.302-1 -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Contract period shall be from date of contract award through one year with one (1) option year period. To receive awards resulting from solicitations issued after May 31, 1998, your company must be registered in the DoD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Contractor may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http://ccr.edi.disa.mil. All responsible sources, offering the specified Sealed Air Corporation products, may submit an offer that shall be considered by this agency. A written solicitation package will be issued. Requests for the solicitation package may be faxed to the Contract Specialist's attention at 717-770-5689. Requests should include the following information: (1) company name and mailing address, (2) telephone and facsimile numbers, and (3) company's point of contact. Posted 06/02/99 (W-SN338050). (0153)
