The Naval Construction Battalion Center, Gulfport, MS intends to negotiate a sole-source contract with Alabama Controls, Inc., Mobile, AL. This contract will be for thirty four (34) upgrades for existing Siebe- Robertshaw DMS35 remote units necessary to ensure Y2K compliance; hardware, software, and driver to upgrade existing DMS front-end to Y2K compliance; and labor to install all upgraded hardware and software, migrate data from old front end system, configure components, construct signal system graphics, and test entire EMCS system located at Naval Construction Battalion Center, Gulfport, MS 39501-5001. Alabama Controls is the authorized Siebe-Robertshaw service agent for Harrison County Mississippi. This is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement by identifying themselves and giving written notification to the Contracting Officer within fifteen (15) calendar days after date of publication of this synopsis. The final determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition, based on any information provided, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this synopsis will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
