construction, road reconstruction and reconstruction of camping sites,
construction of 2 restroom buildings and 2 shower buildings including
interior electrical wiring and plumbing, furnishing and installing 6
prefabricated vault toilets and site improvements. The project also
includes demolition/disposal, site preparation, earthwork, concrete
paving and foundations, reinforced masonry, stone masonry walls, rough
carpentry, heavy timber construction, providing and planting plants,
shrubs, and trees. The Mendenhall Lake Campground is located
approximately 12 miles from downtown Juneau, Alaska and approximately
5 miles from the Auke Bay Ferry Terminal. The project site is
accessible by paved and gravel road. Juneau, Alaska is served by
airlines, barge lines, and the Alaska Marine Highway System. The
estimated start work date is early to mid August 1999. The contract
time will be 320 calendar days. Estimated price range for the project
