Work consists of providing all labor, supplies, materials, supervision, transportation, equipment, and all else necessary to Repair Airfield Lighting at Seymour Johnson AFB NC. The work involved includes, but is not limited to, remove and replace existing semiflush taxiway lights and threshold lights. Provide new dry type constant current regulator. Remove existing VASI and install government furnished PAPI lights on both ends of the runway. Install new obstruction lights on top of two buildings. All work shall be in strict compliance with the specifications and drawings. This will be a firm fixed price construction contract with 200 days construction performance time. The proposed contract listed here is unrestricted and open to all firms, including small and small disadvantaged concerns. The estimated dollar value of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The applicable Standard Industry Classification (SIC) code for this acquisition is 1731 with a three-year average annual small business size standard of $7 million. The successful contractor will be selected using performance/price tradeoff procedures, resulting in the Best Value to the Government. Performance is significantly more important than price. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued electronically o/a 17 Jun 99 on the Government_s Electronic Posting System (EPS) at www.eps.gov. Paper copies are not available.
