Amendment 0001: Line Item 0001 description specified in the original synopsis dated 20 May 1999 is hereby deleted in its entirety. Replace Line Item 0001 with the following information: Building 570 LAN Room Air Conditioning Modification. Contractor shall provide one (1) 10-Ton self contained computer room unit that will utilize the existing chilled water system and the space under the raised floor as the supply air plenum. The air conditioning unit shall be capable of maintaining an indoor temperature of 72 degrees, chilled water temperature of 45 degrees with a 10 degree delta. The computer room unit should be equipped with an electric reheat humidifier, condensate overflow protection and smoke detector. The unit control system should be capable of visual and audible manufacture alarms. The existing computer room raised floor will need to be provided with approximately 15 floor diffusers to allow air to circulate within the space. Return air will be drawn back to the unit through the return air opening on top of the unit. The existing 4-ton unit should be reconfigured and air balanced to serve just the occupied offices surrounding the LAN Room. This will allow for proper zoning between the LAN Room and office spaces. The contractor shall isolate the under floor in the LAN room to ensure that cooled air remains within the LAN room area. The mechanical drawings previously provided is hereby deleted in its entirety. Contractors can down load revised drawing, Technical Attachment (1) from the Navy Website at www.neco.navy.mil.
