The US Air Force Research Laboratory Munitions Directorate, Ordnance Division (AFRL/MNM), in concert with the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence, invite proposals for the Programmable Integrated Ordnance Suite Phase II Technology Demonstration Program (PIOS II TDP). The PIOS II TDP program objective is to develop and demonstrate integrated missile ordnance technologies that will improve anti-air lethality significantly, providing a robust kill capability for medium range air-to-air missiles against a diverse target set (e.g. advanced cruise missiles, fighters, helicopters, bombers and unmanned combat air vehicles) and at large miss distances. The PIOS integrated missile ordnance technologies of interest include an imaging infrared (I2R) target detection device (TDD) and aimable/directable warhead.
