INTENT TO NEGOTIATE A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT WITH DESTRON FEARING INC. Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with Destron Fearing Inc. to modify Destron Fearing transceiver model FS1001. This transceiver currently in use by the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) to track radio tags implanted in juvenile and adult salmon. Destron Fearing designed and constructed the transceiver, no other source has proprietary specifications to modify this transceiver. Scope of work under proposed contract also includes designing and evaluating PIT-tag antennas which will be mounted beside fish ladders.
