Coast Guard has a requirement for Recruit Uniform Fitting and
Alteration Services for the Coast Guard_s Recruit Training Center, Cape
May, NJ location. Services will be required for approximately one
hundred ten (110) recruit personnel per week for forty-nine (49) weeks
annually, and shall include fitting, alteration (including some
tailoring efforts) and garment pressing of Coast Guard uniforms. The
contractor will be responsible for performing uniform fitting and
alterations in accordance with the Coast Guard Uniform Fitting and
Alterations Manual, which will be provided with the solicitation. An
Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract with
Firm-Fixed-Price task orders is anticipated. The period of performance
will consist of a base year and four (4) option years. This
acquisition will be conducted using the test procedures described in
FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. It is
estimated that the Request for Proposals (RFP) will be issued on or
about 30 June 1999, with proposals due 30 days after issuance of the
RFP. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside procurement; Numbered Note
