Construction of an asphalt parking lot covering an area of about 1.25 acres and paving, repaving, and reconstruction of various other parking areas and roads at the U. S. Department of Commerce Boulder Laboratories, 325 Broadway, Boulder, Boulder County, Colorado. The new parking lot will have 74 parking stalls including 2 stalls for buses. The work includes concrete loading dock apron, curbing, traffic islands, sidewalks, stairs and railings, pedestrian bridge and abutments, lighting, fencing, vehicle barrier gate, and drainage features. In addition to the new parking lot, repair and replacement of three additional parking lots totaling approximately 1.2 acres and 0.7 mile of asphalt roadway reconstruction and related work (earthwork, removal of existing asphalt, placing aggregate base and asphalt surfacing, sidewalks, curbs, drainage, etc.) will be required. The entire project shall be completed and ready for its intended use not later than 120 days after the contractor receives notice to proceed. A bid guarantee as well as performance and payment bonds will be required. The estimated price range for this project is $500,000 -- $1,000,000.
