The National Park Service, Department of the Interior, is soliciting proposals from construction firms having the capability to perform the work described below. A negotiated firm-fixed price contract will be awarded, requiring submission of both a technical and a price proposal. The government will consider an offeror's capability in comparison to its price and may make award with or without discussions on the basis of best value to the government. Responsible sources wishing to be considered may submit a proposal. The work of this contract consists of the construction of a wood frame contact station (restroom), bituminous concrete entry road, a twelve car parking area, a 2200 foot long pedestrian walkway, a clay tennis court, associated landscaping and support utilities including water, power, sewer and telephones. Historic preservation work includes reconstructing the barn, milk shed, blacksmith shop, pump shed as well as rehabilitating the Clark House. Preserving the buggy shed, and stabilizing theBerry House. All work will be performed under a single firm-fixed price contract. This project is located on Old Plains Highway, approximately two miles southeast of the center of Plains, Georgia. All requests for project documents must be made in writing. Project Documents may also be viewed at various plan rooms. Plans are limited. Individuals wishing to receive a list of plan rooms should contact the issuing office. The estimated price range of this project (base plus additive items) is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Time for completion is 270 days after notice to proceed. Note.
