This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). Fabricate and deliver the following: (1) Top Tube (1) Middle Tube and (1) Bottom Tube in accordance with drawings A321-9552-M11-M12 and M13 respectively. Welding procedures, welder qualification, weld inspection, and weld acceptance shall be in accordance with AWS D1.1; all welds shall be visually inspected; all full penetration welds shall be Magnetic Particle inspected; the dimensional tolerance of at least 12" of the inside bores of the -M12 Middle Tube and -M13 Top Tube is opened to +.000/-.030. Also to be delivered: A quality assurance package consisting of: 1. Certificate of Conformance for all manufactured parts; 2. Dimensional inspection report for tube bores and all dimensions; 3. Material test reports for metal material stock; 4. Welding acceptance report; 5. Hard Chrome plating certification is required for each of the tubes. The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 97-11 This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The SIC code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 3599 and 500, respectively. The quoter shall state in their quotation their size status for this procurement. All qualified responsible business sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Deliverey on or before September 1, 1999, to NASA-Ames Research Center, Attn: Jim Govorko, Bldg. N246A, Room 150, Moffett Field, CA 94035 is required . Delivery shall be FOB Destination. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9.
