Lottery and Charitable Games Control Board is going to solicit proposals upon release of a Request for Proposals (RFP) No. DC-RP-99-13 for a contractor to replace the existing on-line agent terminal network. The network must be Year 2000 ready. The current technology uses a backbone network call a "Central Office Lan." The existing digital data over voice central office based local area network provides the communications link which enables connectivity of 580 retail agent locations to the host computer system for the processing of wagering data. In addition, the contractor will be required to provide maintenance for the local area network.
