The United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) is seeking potential 8(a) sources to provide a broad range of telecommunications support services in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, at Research Triangle Park, N.C. and at regional, laboratory, and field sites located throughout EPA. In addition, written Industry comments/feedback on the Draft Statement of Work (SOW) and future Internet postings are solicited and highly desired to aid both the Government and Industry in planning for this potential procurement In general terms the services to be provided will include: (1) routine ongoing and ad hoc telecommunications operations, including installation and maintenance work (2) design, configuration and installation and/or operation of all types of wide-area, metropolitan area, and premise telecommunications systems (3) Consolidation of a centralized FTS telecommunications infrastructure support and the Voice/Video Technology and Engineering Center (VTEC) and (4) other areas pertaining to analysis, development and implementation of telecommunications service and equipment selections, as specified in the draft Statement of Work (SOW). The contractor will be required to perform all tasks in accordance with industry standards. Respondents to this notice are asked to identify voluntary consensus standards, if any, that would be appropriate for this SOW. Currently this effort is supported by DynCorp under EPA contract number 68-W2-0013. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 4813. The anticipated contract will be a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) type with a 12-month base period and four 12-month option periods totaling 60 months. The basic quantity per period will be specified in the Request for Proposals (RFP) which will be posted on the Internet on or about August 2, 1999. The draft statement of work, evaluation factors for award, list of interested parties, current work assignments, procurement updates and other related information will be posted on the Internet and downloadable from the following website: "http://www.epa.gov/oamhpod1/adp_placement/natela/index.htm".
