The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) intends to issue a delivery order (0010), on an other than full and open competition basis, to an existing Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00421-98-G-1010, with ERIM International. ERIM shall provide flight test engineering services, airborne operations of the NP-3 Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) system radar and recording instrumentation, preventive and corrective maintenance to the NP-3 SAR system, on-site/on-call maintenance support for NP-3 SAR data collection missions, and maintenance inspections to ensure the functionality of the major SAR subsystems. ERIM is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of a unique radar system, and the only firm that possesses the necessary knowledge, experience, and technical data required to perform this effort within the limited time constraints of the Navy. Configuration consists of L-, C-, X-, and UHF transmitter systems, the clutter lock unit, the system control computer, and the Real Time ProcessingUnit.
