Henderson (410)962-3529 The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to
negotiate with Maryland Department of Natural Resources' Chesapeake and
Coastal Watershed Service for the following services which requires the
contractor to coordinate with the points of contact assigned by the U.
S. Army Environmental Center provide the necessary personnel,
materials and equipment to accomplish the task of: Planning and
Coordination; Initial Site Visits; Site Surveys; In Progress Reviews
(IPR); Technical Report and attend a Workshop concerning the work
performed under the noted task. The assessment will study stream
channels and identify pipe outfalls, erosion/sedimentation problems,
bank failures and other evidence of stream degradation. The objective
of the Assessment of Stream Corridors on Military Installations are as
follws: Provide assistance in a manner supportive of identifying and
prioritizing future stream restoration and management actions. The
contractor shall deliver paper and digital versions of a report
explaining methods used. The report will describe problems and
conditions found on each installation. It will rank the problems by
relative severity, importance and ease of remedy. One or more
in-progress reviews will be conducted. All responsible sources may
submit a proposal identifying their capability to respond to this
requirements by June 22, 1999 which will be considered by this agency.
