The 482nd FW Operational Contracting Office, Homestead Air Reserve Station, Dade County, FL, is issuing a solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 12.6 for the lease of pagers, and pager service. Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is FA6648-99-T0050. Contract period is 1 October 1999 through 30 September 2000 with four additional one year option periods renewable each year for a total of five (5) years. This acquisition will be issued as a 100% small business set-aside. A Firm Fixed price contract will be awarded. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 4812, with a small business size standard of 1500 people. Contractor is to furnish new digital pagers at the start of the contract. A minimum total of 196 pagers are required. Spare pagers shall be provided for malfunctioning pagers. The contract will be awarded using _best value_ methodology. Technical capabilities are more important than past performance and price. Past performance is slightlymore important than price. The proposals will be evaluated using the following criteria: 1) Technical Capabilities: Contractor to provide descriptions/specifications technical brochures and coverage map as applicable for each type of pager. Also a statement that shows an understanding of the requirement and how this requirement will be managed; 2) Past Performance: Provide three references. Include company name, contract number, point of contact and telephone number(s); and 3) Price: Price shall be a firm fixed price. Award of this contract shall be subject to the availability of funds. DFARS 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration (MAR 1998), is incorporated by reference into this acquisition. Offeror must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registration. The offeror shall provide its DUNS or if applicable, its DUNS+4 number with its offer, which will be used by the Contracting Officer to verify that an offeror is registered in the CCR database. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. The anticipated release date of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) is 30 June 1999.
