Contracting Officer, (401) 736-1762 ISSUE DATE: 06/28/99. Contractor
shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation,
supervision and disposal necessary for new siding, roof and
miscellaneous work at USCG Communication Station Boston, Otis ANGB, MA
(Barnstable County). Work includes furring out the entire existing 2"
thick Exterior Insulated Finish System (EIFS) over concrete block
substrate with new " exterior grade plywood. Installation of new
horizontal 5" double exposure, white solid vinyl siding and 4"x4"
corner posts; vinyl clad roof overhang. Temporary removal of existing
2'x2' carpet tiles over transmitter deck computer floor. Installation
of new 2'x2'x1/8" thick anti-static rubber floor tiles glued to
existing wood panels. Reinstall carpet tiles in same location. Level
approximately 105 sf of 12" high computer floor supports in transmitter
deck area. Removal of approximately 150 sf of roll roofing in two roof
areas and install new double coverage roll roofing and new flashing.
Add 1/8"x4" metal gravel stop extenderaround built-up gravel roof area.
Removal of double doors in transmitter deck area; reverse swing and
create new vestibule. Repair aluminum railings and replace several
deteriorated wood treads to two existing stairs in transmitter deck
area. Incidental related work. Estimated cost of this project is
between $25,000 and $100,000 dollars. SIC code is 1761. Solicitation

The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid,
payment and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT
provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against
losses. Loans are available under the DOT Short-term Lending Program
(STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable
