There are 5 tree related tasks combined in a solicitation with the intent of separate awards. This is not considered a single request. Work to be performed consists of cutting, pruning, herbicide treatments, and clearning away of trees, limbs, branches, and foliage on trees which interfere with or by reason of their location or condition may interfere with or will not allow sufficient clearance for safe and proper maintenance and operation of SNR's transmission lines. Service Contract Act applies to this work. Wage Determination #77-0727 Revision 19 applies. QUALIFICATION STANDARD: Quotes will only be considered from firms who are approved by the Western Sierra-Nevada Safety Office prior to award. To be approved, as a nimimum, the offeror must be certified and licensed to work under high voltage power lines, must have at least one crew member currently certified to perform CPR and First Aid, must demonstrate compliance with all applicable OSHA and CAL-OSHA standards, provide proof of insurance (General Liability Bodily Injury $500,000 per occurrence, Property Damage $500,000 each accident, $1,000,000 in aggregate), and must have at least one year experience working under these conditions. This requirement is being procured IAW with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions as a Firm-Fixed Price contract. This action is 100% Set Aside for Small Business concerns. SIC code is 0783.
