Q -- CONTRACT FOR SCARCE MEDICAL SPECIALIST ORTHOPEDIC HAND SURGEON SOL RFP 552-6-99 DUE 080899 POC CONTRACTING OFFICER, Pamela Hansford, (937)267-3994 Furnish Orthopedic Hand Surgeon to provide Hand Surgical Services in a clinic at a minimum of one half day (4 hours) per week or until all scheduled patients are seen and evaluated. All patients will be examined at the Dayton VA Medical Center that have been scheduled in the Hand Surgery Clinic for both normal and emergency care. Perform routine treatment and diagnostic procedures of all and any hand surgical disorders. The physician shall determine if any patients require admission to the hospital and in addition, if consultation is necessary for patient care. The physician shall receive calls and/or communication from consulting physicians as well as from surgical residents regarding patients to be seen in the clinic and/or scheduled for surgical procedures. Surgeons must meet the credentialing and privilege requirements of the Dayton V.A. Medical Center. The contract base period is for one year with the option to extend 2 additional years.
