E-MAIL: A. Bryan Ball, aball@pop200.gsfc.nasa.gov. NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Invitation for Bids (IFB) for trash and debris removal and recycling services. The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervsion, materials, permits, fees, and equipment necessary to remove trash and/or debris and dispose of it in a sanitary landfill. In addition, the contractor will be required to pick up and transport recyclable materials to a bonafide recycling facility and share any resulting proceeds with the Government. The period of performance is five years (1-year basic period and 4 option years) The type of contract will be firm-fixed-price-indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity contract. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. This procurement is unrestricted. The SIC Code for this procurement is 4953. The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DO-C9. The provisions and clauses in the and model contract are those in effect through FAC 97-11. All qualified responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
