Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Midwest Area, has a project entitled Cooling Tower Expansion, National Animal Disease Center (NADC), Ames, IA. The work includes but is not limited to: construct concrete foundation, provide and install nominal 2,000 gpm induced-draft, film-filled, cooling tower complete with gear-driven propeller fan, motor, piping connections to existing cooling tower, adjustable speed electric motor drive, and electrical service. The Magnitude of Construction is estimated between $25,000 and $100,000. The period of performance will be 150 calendar days after receipt of a Notice to Proceed (NTP) (NTP estimated to be issued in September/October 1999). A Bid Bond as well as Performance and Payment Bonds shall be required. The solicitation will be issued as Request for Quotation No. 5114-9-6007 and will be available on or about June 24, 1999, with quotations to be received not later than the Close of Business (4:00 p.m (CST)), July 28, 1999. The solicitation is issued pursuant to full and open competition and is unrestricted. Standard Industrial Classification Code of 1711, with a corresponding size standard of $7.0M.
