Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Midwest Area, has a project entitled Building 5 Improvements, National Animal Disease Center (NADC), Ames, IA. The work includes but is not limited to: Construct improvements to existing building including pre-engineered metal building enclosure for existing air filter unit, pneumatic dust collection system with bag-filter for ash removal, and HVAC improvements with new exhaust fan, VFDs, unit heaters, electrical wiring, and controls. The Magnitude of Construction is estimated between $100,000 and $250,000. The period of performance will be 270 calendar days after receipt of a Notice to Proceed (NTP) (NTP estimated to be issued in September/October 1999). A Bid Bond as well as Performance and Payment Bonds shall be required. The solicitation will be issued as Request for Proposal No. 5114-9-3122 and will be available on or about June 25, 1999, with proposals to be received not later than the Close of Business (2:00 p.m (CST)), July 28,1999.
