Exterior/Interior Painting of Industrial Buildings and Military Family
Housing Units. The principal work for this project shall include, but
is not limited to surface preparation and complete exterior and
interior repainting of various types of buildings including military
family housing and industrial buildings; equipment and miscellaneous
structures; repair and replacement of deteriorated wood/metal sidings,
fascia, gutter and downspout, trim, doors and frames, window frames
screens and louvers; application of epoxy flooring systems; replacement
of broken glass; survey/sampling of lead-based paint and removal where
necessary; disposal of hazardous waste material; and furnishing the
Quality Assurance/Control requirements necessary to perform all
operations in the subject project. The sites of work contemplated under
this project are located at various Air Force and Hawaii National Guard
installations in the State of Hawaii. The total performance period for
the contract will be 12 months for the basic contract period and four
12-month option periods. The maximum amount is $5,000,000 for the
basic contract period and four option periods. Maximum value for all
five years of the contract will be $25,000,000. Contractor must have
sufficient bonding capability for the performance and payment bonds.
This project is 100% set aside for 8(a) firms registered for
construction (SIC code 1721). In addition it has been determined that
competition will be geographically limited to 8(a) firms certified for
participation in the 8(a) Program who are serviced by the Hawaii
District Office. Note that 8(a) firms that are not serviced by the
Hawaii District Office, but who have a verifiable office and employees
located within the geographic area served by the Hawaii District
Office at the time of this CBD announcement, are also eligible to
submit offers. All other firms are deemed ineligible to submit offers.
All contractors must be registered in the Centralized Contractor
Registration (CCR) program in order to receive a contract award from
any DOD activity. Contractors may access the Internet at
http://ccr.edi.disa.mil to register and or obtain more information
about the CCR program. This procurement will be issued on or about 29
