16 -- BREAKOUT BOXES SOL N68335-99-R-0247 DUE 062899 POC Darla M Kelly (732) 323-7437 This acquisition is to fulfil the requirement for 20 Breakout Boxes used to allow Release and Control (R&C) Testing on the F-14 Aircraft for the GBU-24E/B Global Positioning System (GPS) Guided Weapon (GGW) for which the Government does not own complete technical specifications or drawings to permit full and open competition. The Government intends to procure these Breakout Boxes under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Northrop Grumman Corporation is the sole developer of GBU-24E/B GGW which requires the use of the Breakout Boxes. They are the only known source with the knowledge, experience and technical data necessary to fulfil the requirement. Firms that recognize and support the F-14 Aircraft GBU-24E/B GGW are encouraged to identify their capabilities to satisfy this requirement. The Government intends to procure these items under Basic Ordering Agreement N68335-99-G-0156. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which may be considered by the Government indetermining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
