Oil will be packaged in 5 gallon leak proof cans using Lab Safety P/N TL8218(N), NSN: 9150-01-418-8738. The Government intends to purchase from A.J. Klein, Inc. P/N SCH 75W. The Government knows of only one source and believes this item is proprietary to A.J. Klein, Inc. This item is in support of the National Weather Service NEXRAD radar program. The Government intends to contract with A.J. Klein, Inc of Buffalo, New York. The Government does not own the specific technical data to formulation of the oil. Due to the unique characteristics and requirement of the operational characteristics of the NEXRAD Radar System, the lubricating oil specified is the only acceptable product known. The Government knows of no other qualified source. Any other small business sources, able to provide the exact item reference herein is encouraged to respond to this announcement within 10 days after its publication.
