Regulatory Commission (NRC) is seeking firms capable of providing
telecommunication services. This effort will provide for local
redundant WITS and Non-WITS services at various NRC and Non-NRC
locations throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area identified
by the General Services Administration as Non-WITS locations.
Specifically, the services for Non-WITS locations will support
emergency and backup links, as well as, all telecommunication services
for voice, data, and ISDN. All offerors responding to this notice must
be able to meet the following mandatory requirements: (1) provide
unblocked access (one-to-one line ratio) between the local exchange
carrier and the FTS2000 network; (2) provide number portability and
uninterrupted local exchange carrier services on October 1, 1999; (3)
provide 24-hour network monitoring and customer service support center;
and (4) ensure that local exchange carrier service rendered under the
proposed requirement interfaces with the Fujitsu 9600 PBX system.
Proposals for this requirement may be submitted by all concerns, i.e.,
large businesses, small businesses, and small businesses owned and
controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals.
Notice to large businesses: The subcontracting plan requirements of
P.L. 95-507 are applicable to this effort. Thus, all large businesses
determined to be in the competitive range must be prepared to submit a
detailed subcontracting plan. A source list comprising the names,
addresses, and telephone numbers of all concerns requesting a copy of
the solicitation, with large businesses identified by an asterisk, will
be provided with the solicitation. In order to identify large
businesses on the list, a request for the solicitation should indicate
the size of the business based upon a SIC Code of 4813. The size
standard for this solicitation is $1,500 million. The period of
performance for this effort is one year with four additional one-year
option periods. Interested firms should submit written requests to the
U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission at the address as shown above.
