202/307-3070 Provide outpatient assessment and counseling services for
substance abuse treatment for male and female Federal offenders in
Birmingham, Alabama, held under the authority of various United States
statutes. A firm-fixed price requirements contract with a one-year
base period and four (4) one year options is anticipated. Services for
the base period will begin October 1, 1999 through September 30, 2000
and shall include services for 36 inmates, as follows: intake
assessment (one per inmate), individual counseling (16 half-hour
sessions), group counseling (21 half-hour sessions)and family
counseling sessions (1 half hour session). Services for the first
option shall begin October 1, 1999 through September 30, 2001 and shall
include services for 36 inmates, as follows: intake assessments (one
per inmate), individual counseling (16 half-hour sessions), group
counseling (21 half-hour sessions) and family couseling sessions (1
half-hour session). Service for each of the one-year options,
thereafter shall include services for 36 inmates, as follows: intake
assessments (one per inmate), individual counseling sessions (16
half-hour sessions) group counseling sessions (21 half-hour sessions)
and family counseling session (1 half-hour session). All services shall
be performed in accordance with the Transitional Services Statement of
Work "Transitional Drug Abuse Treatment (TDAT) Substance Abuse
Treatment", dated May 1999. Proper licensing in the state of Alabama is
required. The estimated issue date for the Request for Proposal (RFP)
is on or about June 24, 1999. The estimated closing date for the RFP is
July 23, 1999. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which
shall be considered by this agency. No collect phone calls will be
accepted. No telephone requests for the RFP will be accpted. Request
