The work includes furnishing all labor, transportation, supervision, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to perform waste Abrasive Blasting Media (ABM), foundry casting sand, red garnet sand, nonskid polypropylene waste, and miscellaneous blast grit waste removal and recycling at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton, Washington. Offerors must have established approved written procedures in place with the State of Washington, the Washington State Department of Ecology and any applicable counties or municipalities for the transportation and recycling of the identified waste streams. All responsible sources meeting this criteria may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. It is estimated that 1200 tons of this waste will be recycled each year of the contract. A Requirements-type contract with a one-year term and an option to extend for two (2) additional years is projected to be awarded by 16 July 1999.
