This solicitation invites proposals for the construction of the Tice Branch post office to be located on a 5.7 acre site on Palm Beach Blvd. (SR80) in the vicinity of Mississippi and Carolina Avenues, Fort Myers, FL, and containing approx. 14,700 gross sq. ft. of floor space. Work includes, but is not limited to steel frame construction, brick veneer exterior finish, concrete, masonry, carpentry, modified bitumen roofing, insulation, hollow metal doors, metal studs, gyp board, ceramic tile, resilient flooring, vinyl composition tile flooring, carpet, painting, store fixtures, landscaping, electrical, mechanical, utilities and other work associated with postal facilities. The estimated base cost for this project is between $1,700,000 and $2,000,000 with completion within 270 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. The minority-owned business subcontracting goal for this contract is a minimum of ten percent (10%). Notice to proceed will not be issued until such time as the water management permits are received, which is anticipated to be 60 days from date of award.
