Island 13 Excavation and Grading consists of construction of marsh/tidal creek system by removing approximately 380,000 CY of material and grading. Excavation of up to 76,000 CY of material may be required to provide access channels depending on equipment needs. The site is located in the Cape Fear River in Brunswick and New Hanover Counties, NC, approximately 5 miles downstream from the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge. The Wilmington Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site amd Cell 3 of Eagle Ialand Disposal Area are available for disposal of material. All work must be completed not later than 420 calendar days after Contractor receipt of NOTICE TO PROCEED. Estimated cost range of the project is $5,000,000 -- $10,000,000. The CD-ROM contains simple window viewing application and two commercial software applications. All applications contained on the CD-ROM can be run from the CD-ROM. No installation is required. The recommended minimum hardware requirements are (1) 486/66 personal computer; (2) 8 or 16 MB RAM; (3) CD-ROM drive; (4) Windows driven printer. The recommended minimum software requirement is Microsoft Windows 3.1, Windows 95, or Windows NT.
