The work shall consist of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment and
materials for the construction work to Improve Fuel Stand Facility 1439
to include the following: Removal and patching of existing pavement;
construction of new motorized valve for catch basin. Removal of
existing canopy structure and footings; construction of new
pre-engineered canopy structure and footings, including removing and
reinstalling adjacent fuel pumps, air hose and other appurtenances.
Removal of existing light fixtures, construction of new light fixtures
and switch for motorized valve, including associated conduit and
wiring. Provision of new hazardous storage locker, including new
concrete pad. Contract period is 180 calendar days. The work site will
be in use during construction. This project has been checked for
lead-based paint (LBP). LBP was found that will affect the project.
Specifications will identify locations & handling requirements. In
conformance with FAR 19-1300 this acquisition is being considered for
a hubzone set-aside. If your firm is hubzone certified and intends to
propose on this acquisition, please provide the following information
to the contracting officer not later than 10 days after the publication
of this notice: SBA certification of Hubzone eligibility; capability
statement for firm; and a positive statement that your firm intends to
propose on this acquisition. Based on response, the contracting
officer will make a determination if there is not a reasonable
expectation of adequate competition, the acquisition will be conducted
under full and open competition. The applicable SIC code is 1542 with
an annual average gross revenue of $17.0 million for the last three
(3) years. The solicitation will be available on the Electronic Posting
System (EPS) web site www.eps.gov on or about 30 June 1999 with a
closing date of 30 July 1999. The magnitude of construction is between
