The project consists of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment materials, and transportation; and performing all required work in accordance with the plans and specifications. Removal of all friable and category II asbestos from the buildings containing asbestos to be demolished. Demolition of buildings (19 each) is to include but not limited to all foundations, docks, sidewalks, all bituminous and concrete pavement, steps, retaining walls, abandoned utility poles, fencing, signs or any other appurtenances in the demolition area and removal of a 5000 Gal undergound abandoned storage tank. Cap all water and gas lines at the main and abandoned in place. Plug all sanitary sewer services at the main and abandon in place. Site grade back to the original ground contours and seed. Proposed contract will be a Firm Fixed Type. Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about 6 July 99 and will open on or about 5 Aug 99. The base item of 5 buildings is funded and will be awarded, the remaining buildings willbe option items which may or may not be awarded within 120 days after award of the contract. There will be a site visit on or about 19 July 99. This procurement is unrestricted, and will fall under the Service Contract Act. The estimated cost is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for the acquisition is 1795. The Small Business Size Standard is $7.0 Mil annual receipts.
