a Draft Solicitation for the Rapid Spacecraft Acquisition. NASA/GSFC
intends to award multiple Fixed-Priced/Indefinite Delivery Indefinite
Quantity contracts for satellite core systems and all necessary design,
development, fabrication, integration, test, launch support and
on-orbit check-out and operations support to meet the Government's
space science, earth science, and technology needs. We anticipate
release of the Draft Solicitation on or about June 30, 1999, with an
anticipated due date for industry comments on or about July 30, 1999.
We anticipate release of the final solicitation on or about August 20,
1999 with proposals due forty-five (45) days later. The draft and
final solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will
be available over the Internet. These documents will be in Microsoft
Office Suite (Word 6.0, Excel 5.0, PowerPoint 4.0) format and will
reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a
WWW browser application. The WWW address, or URL of the NASA/GSFC

intended to satisfy the requirements of the Federal Acquisition
Regulation (FAR) Part 5.201 and 5.203 for the final solicitation and no
further CBD announcements are anticipated. Prospective offerors shall
notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It is the
offeror's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of the
solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be
responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and
amendments (if any). Hard copies may be obtained from the identified
point of contact; however, the closing date for the hard copy received
shall be the same as the solicitation, inclusive of any amendments,
