Systems Program Office, Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC/CW), Los
Angeles AFB, is seeking industry comments and recommendations
regarding the findings of the Satellite Control Panel of the Commercial
Space Opportunities Study (CSOS). The panel findings include study case
and timing options for the strategy of integrating commercially
developed capabilities for ground-support of satellites into both the
near-term future satellite control architecture. Results will be
presented as a briefing, followed by a question and answer session, and
will take place at the Los Angeles Air Force Base, El Segundo, CA on
the afternoon of 29 June, 1999, 1330 to 1530, in building 110 room
1234. Please indicate your intent to attend by COB 23 June 1999. RSVPs

This Email should include the full name of attendee, company being
represented, address and phone information, SSN, and citizenship. A
copy of the briefing may be viewed on the Satellite & Launch Control
Systems Acquisition Home Page web site after 29 July, 1999, at; http:
//www.dwsc.stai.com/slcsacq/default.htm. One on one discussions to
convey industry recommendations to the government will be held on the
days following the briefing until the cut off time of COB 11 July,
1999. These discussions may be in person or by phone at the discretion
of the contractor. Participants may provide proprietary or competition
sensitive information during these discussions. Such information will
be protected as required. Please note that both the Aerospace
Corporation and SCITOR Corporation support the Government_s team. The
discussions must be scheduled in advance through Ms. Diane Rabb, Voice
310-363-1145, and confirmed by Email: diane.rabb@losangeles.af.mil,
with the names of the contractor personnel expected to be in
attendance. For the purpose of this RFI, commercial entities with
satellite command and control expertise are encouraged to participate.
This is not a requestfor proposal and it shall not be construed as a
commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately
award a contract. The Government will not pay for the information
requested herein. Any contract announcement action(s) following as a
result of this RFI will be available via the appropriate Government
