NIH/NIA, Gerontology Research Center requires gene expression
microarray service on poly A+mRNA for 25 analysis sets, including
software for analysis of data. This is a new initiative designed to
identify and quantify important genetically induced changes in the
cardiovascular system resulting from development, aging and disease
processes. Contractor will provide 25 analysis sets from RNA provided
by the Gerontology Research Center (GRC) utilizing either UniGEM V
Human or GEM1 mouse microassays each containg up to 10000 cDNA sequence
verified clones which represent the unique genes identified in NCBI's
unigene database. Each array is to be scanned for the two fluorescent
labels (cy3 and cy5), which provide a very accurate and reproducable
measurement of relative gene expression between two related samples.
Data will be provided in sequel data sets in 15-20 working days after
receipt of RNA. The following factors will be used to evaluate offers
in descending order of importance: 1) technical capability, 2) price,
3) past performance. Sources are requested (via FAX @ 410-558-8319) to
submit descriptive literature with their pricing proposals. Posted
