H -- ASPHALT TESTING SOL C50-99-2987 DUE 071999 POC Terri Cady, 406-247-7941 The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) is issuing a Request for Quotation for a proposed requirements contract to perform asphalt testing. The contractor is required to furnish all equipment for testing asphaltic concrete by the Marshall method, must make determination of the rice specific gravities, gradation of the cold feed material and preparation of related reports at a minimum of one (1) air void test per day. The BIA will furnish a nuclear asphalt content gauge and mobile laboratory space with utilities. Tests shall be at a minimum of one (1) for every 500 tons of mix with not less than one (1) per day. Testing will be conducted at various project sites located on the seven Indian Reservations, in Montana and Wyoming that fall under the Billings Area Roads program. This procurement will be conducted in accordance to FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Award will be made based on best value to the government, price and past performance factors considered. This procurement is a Small-Business Set-Aside.
