seeking source for construction service for installation of overhead
doors to includes material and labor to cut five(5) 20 foot wide x 14
foot high openings in the existing metal building, material to furnish
five(5) 20 foot wide x 14 foot high coiling service doors with
electric operators which includes: 20 gauge galvanized prime painted
slats, structural steel guides, electric operators 3/4 horse power 120
volt, auxiliary chain hoist and electric reversing edge. NOTE: All
wire and wiring, paint and painting will be provided in house. All work
to be performed within prison fence. Cost magnitude is between $25,000
and $100,000. The solicitation number is 1PI-B-2117-99 and is issued
as an Invitation for Bid(IFB). This solicitation is set aside 100% for
small business. This solicitation and necessary forms may be obtained
at www.unicor.gov/procurement/electronics on or about June 25, 1999.

Industries, Inc., P.O. Box 730, 8 miles NE of Bastrop off Hwy 95,
Bastrop, TX 78602. Bidders may submit signed and dated Federal Express
or hand deliver bids to UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries, Inc.,
Material Management Branch, 400 First Street, N.W., Washington DC,
20534, 7th Floor, Attn: Bid Custodian. The due date and time for
receipt of bids is 2:00 pm Eastern standard time on July 21, 1999. Any
bid that rejects the terms and conditions of this solicitation may be
excluded from consideration. All bidders must hold there price firm
for 60 calendar days from the due date specified for receipt of bids.
Any amendments to this solicitation must be acknowledged in writing.
Any bid or modifications to bids received after specified due date for
receipt of bids will not be considered. The Government will award a
contract resulting from this solicitation to a responsible bidder whose
proposal conforms to the solicitation and is considered most
advantageous to the Government. Site visit will be held on Thursday
July 8, 1999 at 9:00 am. If contractor plans to attend, you MUST
contact Robert Gibbs (Factory Manager) at (512)321-9309 extension 401
by 2:00 pm Friday, July 2, 1999. Award will be made on the basis of
price and price related factors. Discounts for early payment if
offered, will not be considered in the evaluation for award. Before the
specified expiration date of an offer, the Government may accept that
offer unless a written notice of withdrawal is received prior to award.
