STATEMENT OF WORK The Contractor will be required to produce copies of general electric specifications and instructions as listed in this statement of work prior to the start of the contract. 1. Request a General Electric Company or other qualified technical representative to assist in inspection, preventative maintenance and overhaul of one General Electric Turbine. Provide assistance to determine through nondestructive inspection (NDI) of suspect parts, if part replacement is required. 2. The scope of work includes: a. Oversee and provide technical assistance for overhauling one turbine. b. Opening of the unit. c. Inspect unit_s assemblies. d. Measure clearance of thrust bearings, bearing, bearing diameters, couplings, etc. and compare with data from previous inspections and manufacturer_s assembly tolerance. e. Identify item (s) to be photographed. f. Record evidence of, and evaluate erosion, condition of seals, lack of lubrication, and unusual wear. (1) Oversee and instruct parts cleaning, parts replacement, and normative preventative maintenance actions. (2) Cleaning rotor blades with aluminum oxide blast. (3) Replacing seals, gaskets, and worm parts. (4) Measuring and recording thrust bearing clearances on units for comparison for next inspection/overhaul. (5) Checking lubrication system including pumps and filters. (6) Checking turning gear and motor. (7) Checking governor and throttle mechanism. (8) Advise if any repair or replacement of parts IAW manufacturing specifications F-3305430-2A is required. (9) Observe and advise as required the closing and test running of the turbine. (10) Observe the overspeed trip test and advise. (11) Furnish a written report in five copies, which states the following: a. Internal conditions noted. b. List of parts replaced. c. Verify that measured tolerances are within factory tolerances. (12) Contractor shall provide copies of all reference manuals, drawings and specifications necessary to accomplish this work. 3. Other factors: a. All parts will be U.S. Government furnished property. A complete list of all Government furnished property is not necessary. The contractor is only advising On replacement IAW scope of work. b. Test and inspections are to be performed by site personnel IAW the following General Electric specifications: (1) Armature Specification A-3303499-A (2) Field Specification F-3305430-2A (3) Vibration Test IAW test instruction K-9468227 c. Contractor must provide an authorized/warranted representative. Contractor will provide transportation, meals, and lodging to Clear A.S. d. One-year warranty of overhaul is required. Warranty to cover re-performing any defective service or workmanship and will conform to any mutually agreed upon specification for a period of one year from date of completion of service. e.
