Fleet & Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound (FISCPS) intends to procure on a sole source basis A Radio Fire Alarm System in support of COMFLEACT Fire Department in Yokosuka Japan. The equipment must be 100% compatible with existing installed King-Fisher fire alarm systems, and must operate on the single assigned and approved radio frequency. The equipment must be UL- or FM-approved in accordance with National Fire Protection Association Standards 72 and 1221. The equipment must be capable of interfacing with the King-Fisher transmitters currently installed. The Government intends to solicit, negotiate and award on a sole source basis with King-Fisher Company, 2350 Foster Avenue, Wheeling, IL 60090-6574. The Government is not aware of another manufacturer who can provide UL- or FM-approved equipment capable of interfacing with the King-Fisher transmitters currently installed. The Government is unable to provide information necessary to support a competitive procurement. A firm-fixed price supply type contract will result. Desired delivery date is 1 Sep 99. FOB Destination, delivery to Travis Air Force Base. The acquisition will be made in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13, Acquisition of Commercial Items and Simplified Acquisition Procedures, respectively.
