Defense National Stockpile Center is soliciting quotes for 2,000 48 x 48 Wooden Pallets to be delivered to DLA/DNSC Stockton Depot, Rough and Ready Bldg 718, Stockton, CA 95206-6950. 2. Type 1-two way flush; Class 1, Assembled, Style A-Nonreversible, Size 3, size 48 x 48. Group III, high density woods (hardwoods) Grade A, untreated in accordance with Federal Specification NN-P-71C dated 9/10/73. Under the Federal Specification NN-P-71C dated 9/10/73, paragraph 3.4.2.2, delete the requirement for the chamfered edges on the bottom deckboards. Upon request, prospective quoters will be provided a copy of the Specification. The contractor may be required to furnish a pre-production pallet for examination and testing in accordance with Section 4.1 of the Specification within 15 calendar days of award. The inspection will be performed at the contractor's plant. The contractor shall notify the Government of its plant location and the date on which the pre-production pallet will be provided at least 5 calendar days in advance so that the Government can schedule the test.
