The proposed purchase order shall be for a period of one year. AWARD OF A PURCHASE ORDER RESULTING FROM THIS SOLICITATION IS RESTRICTED UNDER PUBLIC THE HEALTH PROFESSIONS EDUCATION PARTNERSHIPS ACT OF 1998, PUBLIC LAW 105-392, SECTION 103, AMENDING PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES ACT, SECTION 799, WHICH LIMITS AWARDS TO HEALTH PROFESSIONS SCHOOLS, ACADEMIC HEALTH CENTERS, STATE OR LOCAL GOVERNMENTS, OR OTHER APPROPRIATE PUBLIC OR PRIVATE NONPROFIT ENTITIES. The purpose of the procurement is to provide the technical and logistical assistance required to promote and strengthen public/private partnerships to identify clinical and cost-effective allied health practice that will improve quality, decrease cost, and increase access to care for underserved populations. This would entail arranging for and chairing two meetings.The first would be a Steering Committee Meeting whose main task would be to develop an agenda for the second meeting, an Outcomes Research Forum where the assessment measures would be developed. A final report would be required that details the Forum's recommendations including implementation plans and guidelines for promoting outcomes-based research with the allied health communities-of-interest.
