R -- EVALUATION STUDY REGARDING COMORBIDITIES FOR PERSONS WITH HIV/AIDS SOL 99-OA-A70159 DUE 073099 POC Mary Jean Skinner, 301-443-5237 The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is soliciting proposals in accordance with the Simplified Acquisitions Procedures in Part 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). The HRSA expects to make multiple awards from this solicitation. AWARD OF A PURCHASE ORDER RESULTING FROM THIS SOLICITATION IS RESTRICTED TO GRANTEES FUNDED AS OF SEPTEMBER 30, 1998 UNDER THE RYAN WHITE CARE ACT TITLES I,II,III,IV AND SPECIAL PROJECTS OF NATIONAL SIGNIFICANCE. The purpose of the procurement is to evaluate and quantify (1)the additional demands placed on the HIV care system by individuals with comorbid conditions and (2)the benefits and costs of integrating and coordinating treatment for comorbid conditions with care services for HIV. A final report would be required that includes a comprehensive description of the research and methods, findings, possibilities for replication, implications of study findings for public policy, and suggestions for optimizing the delivery of services under the RyanWhite CARE Act. The proposed purchase order shall be for a period of one year. Solicitation will be issued on or about June 28, 1999.
