COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF JUNE 15,1999 PSA#2367NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT FOR THE COLLECTION OF
ADMISSION FEES TO YORKTOWN BATTLEFIELD IN COLONIAL NATIONAL HISTORICAL
PARK. DESC: Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the National Park
Service in Yorktown, Va, intends to enter into negotiations with
Eastern National on a SOLE SOURCE non-competitive basis for the
collection of admission fees to Yorktown battlefield and for the use of
outdoor recreation sites, facilities,visitor center, equipment and
services. Assistance shall also include: operational duties which
support the mission of the park,such as providing historical and other
accurate interpretive information to the public including instructions
on getting to various sites within the park and information about and
location/times of programs, staff collection areas in the visitor
center for the collection of funds from visitors, deposits revenues and
generate remittance reports. Eastern National meets the criteria set
forth for the unique and critical needs of the National Park Service in
Yorktown. Therefore, in accordance with authority 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1)
as implemented in FAR 6.302.1, the government intends to enter into
negotiations with Eastern National within thirty days after publication
of this notice. The anticipated term of this contract is from October
1, 1999 through September 30, 2000, with a four-year option to extend
the terms and conditions. This notice of intent is not a request for
competotove proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete
with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is
solely within the discretion of the Government. For information or
